Learn More about Pet Microchipping

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) has provided important information about the Universal Microchip Lookup Tool (UMLT).  The UMLT provides an easy way for pet owners, veterinary clinics, and animal care and control agencies to enter a microchip number and then view the search results of which microchip registry the chip has been enrolled.  Click here for more information! 

IVMA Launches "Power of 10" Training Program

The Power of 10 Leadership Program is designed to cultivate leadership skills in recent graduatees and provide learning experiences that will enrich the veterinarian and benefit the individual's practice, community, and profession.  The Power of 10 program will provide 10 recent graduates (graduated from a college of veterinary medicine with a DVM degree in the years 2006-2012) with seven leadership development sessions over an eight-month period.  The registration deadline to apply is June 15th and the program will begin later this summer. IN Animal Health Foundation Golf Outing Set

The IAHF Fall Golf Outing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at the Purdue Ackerman Hills Course in West Lafayette, IN.  The golf outing is coordinated in conjunction with the Purdue Fall Conference. Funds raised from the event will be used for student scholarships and activities.

IVMA Animal Welfare Committee Accepting Nominations
The Animal Welfare Committte is accepting nominations for its yearly awards, including Companion Animal of the Year, Hero Award, Guardian Award, Agricultural Animal Welfare Award, and Veterinary Service Award.
