Wellness Track with John McShane

Peace Community
Programs Director

Favorite quote about peace:
“Few have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of the events, and in the total of these acts will be written the history of this generation. It is from numerous diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a [wo]man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the life of others, or strikes out against an injustice [s]he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope that crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, these ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. And I believe that in this generation those with the courage to enter the moral conflict will find themselves with companions in every corner of the globe.”–Robert Kennedy, Johannesburg, 1963

What I love about Peace Learning Center:
Everyone is welcome and no one is alone.

Favorite moment at Peace Learning Center:
Yuval Ron, an internationally renowned World Music artist, composer, peace activist and record producer played at Peace Learning Center. We had a visiting group from all over the Middle East. He showed that music could remind us of our similarities, and help us to overcome and celebrate our differences – making the world a more peaceful place.
